Oslo Brass Quintet has been absolutely fantastic and is an incredibly professional ensemble to collaborate with, something that became evident during the world premiere of “A Nightingale's Song”. A one-hour work composed by the undersigned with lyrics by Kari Iveland. A lot of wonderful musicianship and use of technical devices made the entire production warm, exciting, and unique!

The musicians in Oslo Brass Quintet are not afraid to challenge their comfort zone. During the preparation for the commissioned work Chant & Drone (2021), we worked together with microtonality, extended playing techniques and improvisation. The musicians give of themselves with a unique sense of time, timbre and compositional form in real time. It has been a true pleasure to go exploring together with this unique ensemble.
